EchoFind Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-08-27

EchoFind ("the app", "we") is built privacy-first. The short version: your audio and motion data are processed entirely on your device and never sent to us or anyone else.

What we collect

Nothing leaves your device. EchoFind has no servers that receive your data, no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers.

How the app uses your device's sensors

What is stored on your device

If you choose to save a session, EchoFind stores its results (the identified sound labels, confidence scores, timestamps, and walk-path data) in the app's private storage on your device. This information never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the session or uninstall the app.

What we do not do

This website

If you enter your email address in the "Get notified" form on echo-find.com, we store that address and the time you submitted it so we can send you one email when the Android beta opens. Nothing else is recorded. Email [email protected] to have it removed.

Children's privacy

EchoFind does not collect any data from anyone, including children. It is suitable for general audiences.

Permissions you control

You can grant or revoke microphone and motion access at any time in iOS Settings or Android Settings. The app's core features require these permissions to function, but the data they produce stays on your device.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change in a future version (for example, an optional feature that exports data at your request), we will update this policy and the in-app disclosures before that feature ships.
